PENGARUH PENYULUHAN PADA IBU NIFAS TENTANG PIJAT OKSITOSIN TERHADAP KELANCARAN ASI DI BPM EVI FITRIANTI TAHUN 2024

Abstract

In Indonesia, coverage of exclusive breastfeeding is still far from the national target of 80%. Based on the 2017 Indonesian Health Profile, 29.5% of babies received exclusive breast milk until the age of six months. This is not in accordance with the target of the Ministry of Health's Strategic Plan for 2015- 2019, namely the percentage of babies aged less than 6 months who receive exclusive breast milk is 50%. To increase exclusive breastfeeding according to WHO targets that have been set and to facilitate breast milk production, this can be done by stimulating the oxytocin reflex with oxytocin massage. By doing an oxytocin massage, the mother will feel relaxed and fatigue after giving birth will disappear, which can help stimulate the release of the hormone oxytocin. The decrease in breast milk production in the first days after giving birth can be caused by a lack of stimulation of the hormones oxytocin and prolactin which play a major role in smooth breast milk production. This type of research is quantitative research with a quasi-experiment with a pre-test, post-test only research design with group design. The population in this study were all postpartum mothers who gave birth at BPM Evi Fitrianti in 2024 with a total of 30 samples. With the analysis technique using the Wilcoxon test because the normality test has been carried out, the results are <0.05. It is known that Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted, which indicates that there is an influence of counseling on postpartum mothers about oxytocin massage on the smooth flow of breast milk at BPM Evi Fitrianti which has a value of p = 0.008 where < 0.05. It is hoped that the results of this research will increase public knowledge, especially mothers, about the importance of oxytocin massage to stimulate breast milk. production.Keywords : Breast Milk, Oxytocin Massage.
