Abstract

In order to realize the Golden Indonesia in 2045, the government has launched a program to prevent stunting in Indonesian children, so that by that year Indonesia can become one of the largest economic powers in the world. Stunting is a crucial issue, which is chronic malnutrition that arises from prolonged undernutrition. On several occasions, stunting threatens children's health and can even lead to death.

A toddler experiencing stunting will affect the child's physical growth, motor and verbal development, hinder the child's intelligence, make them vulnerable to both infectious and non-communicable diseases, lead to lower productivity when the child reaches adulthood, and increase the risk of being overweight and obese.

This research aims to outline several analyses regarding stunting prevention obtained through literature studies. The existing literature was obtained from an analysis of journals published from 2022 to 2024. Based on the literature review, it was concluded that stunting prevention can be achieved through basic sanitation in communities or the availability of access to clean water, availability of latrines, availability of wastewater disposal facilities, and waste disposal, health access (provision of maternal and child health services and family planning, providing health insurance for low-income citizens, education and improvement of nutrition for stunted toddlers, and early marriage), religious approaches, community empowerment, health message communication, food security, and provision of supplementary food.
