Abstract
Adolescent sexual conduct that occurs outside of marriage is known as premarital sexual behavior. Teenagers typically engage in premarital sexual conduct when they are dating. Sexual desire is encouraged by this behavior, which is the outcome of biological development. 47% of teenage girls and boys confessed that they had sex because they loved each other, 30% because they were inquisitive, and 3% because they were coerced and encouraged by others. Premarital sex was 8% for men and 2% for women. Only 27% of boys reported using condoms during sexual activity, compared to 49% of young girls. Among teenage girls and boys, 7% of boys reported having a girlfriend who was pregnant against their will, and 12% of girls said the pregnancy was unwanted. This study uses a cross-sectional approach and is quantitative in nature. On March 6, 2024, this study was carried out in SMK PGRI 2 in Jambi City. Using basic random selection procedures, a sample of 90 respondents was selected from the population of 778 respondents in this study. Questionnaires and SPSS data analysis were the tools utilized.
