Abstract
Cilok is a typical Bandung snack. Cilok is made from a mixture of processed meat, tapioca flour, wheat flour with celery pieces, and seasoning with garlic, salt, and pepper. Therefore, if studied from the cell structure (cell wall content), when viewed from the shape, bacteria can be divided into Coccus, bacilli, and spiral bacteria. Coccus has a round shape and an oval egg. Escherichia coli is a genus of rod-shaped, gram-negative, non-encapsulated and non-motile enterobacterium bacteria. These bacteria usually live in the intestines of humans and animals. Although most types of Escherichia coli cause only mild diarrhea, certain strains such as Escherichia coli O157:H7 can cause serious intestinal infections that result in diarrhea, abdominal pain, and fever. Escherichia coli that causes disease in humans is called Entero Phatogenic Escherichia Coli (EPEC). Foods that are often contaminated by these bacteria are milk, drinking water, meat and cheese.
