Maserasi Dari Ekstrak Kental Dari Mahkota Nanas (Ananas Comosus (L) Merr) Sebagai Agen Lipbalm

Abstract

Lip balm is a preparation that is applied directly to the lips and functions to moisturize the lips so that they do not dry out and become chapped easily. Pineapple crown is a plant that is green in color and has thorns on the right and left sides, which has antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial content. The aim of this research is to find out whether the extract from pineapple crown (Ananas comosus (L) Merr) can be formulated as a moisturizer in lip balm preparation. This research was carried out experimentally, including preparation formulations with concentrations of pineapple crown extract (Ananas comosus (L) Merr) of 5%, 10%, 15%. Lip balm preparations from pineapple crown extract have been obtained in formulations F1, F2, F3 which can meet the requirements of the organoleptic test, homogeneity test, pH test, irritation test and spreadability test. It can be concluded that the results of this research are that pineapple crown can be formulated as a lip balm preparation that has the distinctive aroma of pineapple crown fruit and has a soft texture when applied.
